Put your money where your mouth is

money where2017 has seen my posts far and few between. Undoubtedly it has been a busy in addition to demanding year. So now, as we reach the last leg of the year I reflect on what has been. Throughout 2017, there is one significant message I echo as well as identify with. That being to “put one’s money where one’s mouth is.”

During the course of the year I have pondered on this key epistle. As this currychick grows more mature I am less tolerant of hypocrisy and pretence. Putting on a front is outmoded nowadays for me. If you know me well I am a go-getter. It’s the do or die personality that I have always lived with. I hail from extremely humble beginnings, as well as lost my dad at a very young age.  Such is death that it has contributed to my resilient, irrepressible personality.

Hence getting things done and striving for what I believe in is paramount in my world. Consequently 2017 has made me realise that I am not prepared to live a lie. I will put my money where my mouth is and stand up for what I believe in. I will keep promises made to people dead or alive. I am not prepared to continue with facades and pretences. Neither will I spend my precious time with trivial tête-à-têtes that have no substance.   In hindsight I have similarly become beat of people who just talk the talk besides representing what they mean.

MONEYGetting older and definitely wiser I surmise that presenting by my actions, not just by my words is the way I want to be remembered. Experiencing several losses in life  makes me realise that we must dance while we can. Consequently I advocate living a life of compassion, love and making your own fortune. Life is too short for gossip, heartlessness and phonies. We take naught with us when we pass on, besides we are forever missed plus remembered for what we stood for.

I know I am not picture-perfect however being false, callous as well as a hypocrite are negative traits that will not be my standing. This currychick certainly wants to be remembered for all of the opposite. So goodbye 2017 and hello 2018 which will indubitably be another wonderful year of me being vociferous in what I accept as true and as always being grateful, always believing in the Power of Prayer money whereeeee

Currychick wishes you a bright and brilliant 2018.  Thank you as always for reading my blog.

I love the passion and authenticity of your voice and reason. Getting older is certainly liberating when you realise that there’s more to life than tearing down the walls of others. Well said. Speaks to the core of my existence.
